Dear reader

For more than a century, Royal Wagenborg has been a provider of logistics services with a solution for every logistical problem. Even though the transport sector is still facing adverse economic conditions, we are confident about the future. That’s because we believe in our company policies that will guide us through these economically difficult times.

We are aware that our approach has brought us to where we are now and will also guide us into the future. At the same time, the challenging market conditions require us to be flexible and to constantly reinvent ourselves so as to keep up with the changing world of today. As a family firm, we remain focused on logistics for the maritime and oil and gas sectors, and we attempt to serve every client, large and small, to the best of our ability.

Looking ahead

To give you some idea of what these developments mean, this number of TIMES takes a look back at the past six months and forward into the future. It tells you about our projects, people and services, and of course about our clients.

We look back at a successful DelfSail 2016, the leading maritime festival in our home port of Delfzijl. We also take a look back at our contribution to the construction of Wildlands Adventure Zoo. And we look beyond the borders of the Netherlands and zoom in on our business activities in the Caspian Sea and America. Together with some personal stories from the officers on board the Kroonborg and a background story about “Good Seamanship”, TIMES offers something for everyone.

We hope you’ll find the articles interesting. If you have any comments on the articles (in either the printed or the online edition), don’t hesitate to let us know.

We hope you enjoy reading this number of TIMES.
